The St Raphael's Estate Resident Steering Group

In 2019, the St Raph's project team set up a resident steering group as a part of the initial Masterplan consultation. The group named themselves St Raph’s Voice. Over the course of the next year they worked to develop a Community Vision and a Design Code, which would ensure any proposals would align with the community's preferences and needs. They also worked with PPCR (an Independent Tenant and Leaseholder Advice organisation) to form a Residents Charter to sit alongside the masterplan and a design code. All of these would be used in the following design phases.

During the early project stages, it was decided to set up a separate sub-group of the SRV to work directly with the design team called the Community Design Group (CDG). Members of the SRV who were interested in taking a more active role in helping to shape the design proposals were invited to join this group in addition to wider estate residents. The CDG meet to discuss design progress and provide feedback on the developing designs for the estate, as well as the community engagement process.

The SRV and CDG have continues to work with the design team on current phases of the design.
